67 351w/ will 85 F150 AOD work?

it will work, but you are going to have to have the drive shaft cut an inch shorter than normal, as the truck aod is most likely an inch longer than most of the car trannies... you will need:
crossmember
flexplate
kickdown or tv setup (go with the lokar)
exhaust will have to be rerouted around the wider pan
shift rod (5/16 rod threaded for fine thread, and heim joints)
3:55 to 3:73 gears work well
speedo gear
i think thats about all, the gearing is not necessary, but you will find the higher final drive will make you want to leave the shifter in third gear most of the time... mine turns 2200 rpm at 75 mph

If I am going to leave in 3rd most of the time I might as well keep my fmx.. When you say I will have to reroute the exhaust around the pan, is that the headers or the exhaust pipes. After I purchase all the additional items to make it work I wonder if its really a good deal? Thanks for the info.

but it sure is nice to drop it into o.d. at cruise, and watch the rpms drop to an idle... most long tube headers dont fit because of the width of the pan, therefore if you have headers other that shorties, they are most likely not going to fit the aod. if you have stock manifolds, you need only to have your headpipes rebent...what sort of gear does the car have, anyway?

Not sure of the gear, it has the stock 8" rear, probably 2.79. If I start adding the $450 for the transmission, probably another $250 for the stuff to install, replacing my long tube headers and whatever might arise this may not be that good of a deal!!?
