67-68 Tachometer?

Nice project, Edbert. But did you have to hack up a beautiful camera-black dash just for practice??
LOL, I'd expect you to say something like that! :D

It was not exaclty beautiful bro, besides I've got two more of those camera case bezels that were in better shape than the one I cut. By the way the one I cut could still be used for the Autometer conversion I'll give it to you if you want.

Regarding the 8K tach that was original for the Shelbys, I know where one is that is in its NOS FoMoCo box.

Thanx, I still miss my 67 S-code FB. Seeing you guys with those sigs hurts me :(

I just wish I had more time to spend with her. With work, school, other various responsibilities, and spending time with my wife, the mustang tends to get neglected. :(

Yeah, I saw in your pics that the dash looked pretty tired. My dash is worn, too. The black is okay, but the chrome is worn off the bezels.

Thanks for the offer, but if I do the conversion myself I'll probably get a new repro (CAMERA BLACK) dash to start with. The black can be repainted, but I don't know if the chrome can be freshened up.

The 8K Shelby tach probably has a price tag equal to a house down payment.....

I have a 68 stang and im doin the tach swap into the clock hole deal cause my clocks broken anyways. but i couldnt find the right size phantom tach at summit. my clock opening is like 2 3/16 whered did you guys get your tachs from?

Tommy
