If you are talking about the rods at that attach to the door lock mech. Than it is easier than it looks, but kind of hard to explain. The end of the rod bends over in a 90 degree angle and “slips” through the hole in the lock. On the look mech. Itself, there is a “keeper” that is attached to the hole the rod slips through and spins around and snaps on the rod. There is a little lip on the part of the “keeper” that snaps to the rod, I just slide a smallish flat screwdriver up the rod until if hooks under the “lip” and twist the screwdriver, unsnapping the keeper, thus freeing the rod to come out of the lock. **NOTE** I usually have to perform this technique a few times because enviably the screwdriver slips off and stabs me in my finger/hand which get the rod slick from the blood. But that’s just me.
