67 fastback GTA,for 6k

So that must mean you are tired of everyone with mags, fat tires, bigger suspensions, custom paint, 4 barrel carbs....etc, etc...

How many Elanors are there? I have yet to see one. And so what if someone wants to do that to their car...it is their car and their (or daddy's) money. Show some respect and tolerance of others choices and stop hammering people for them.

I am not trying to start anything, just trying to highlight a growing epidemic around here. This is one of the reason SuperDave left.

If you can't say anything nice or constructive...don't say anything.

I dont have a problem with the Elenore cars, In fact I like them and Id like to build one myself( key word). I do however have a problem with companies scouring the market for 67and 68 fastbacks in order to build a GT350E product that 99% of the mustang fanatics cannot afford. I also have an issue with the 65-6 shelby continuation cars that are being built. I think it casts bad shadow on the originals.. Im not a purist by any means, just dont like cash mongering companies trying to capitalize on history, while driving up the costs of a once affordable hobby..

I'm right with you on that one... when I thought that making my car into an Eleanor was a challenging, barely anyone has done it, sought after, awesome thing to do... I then got slapped in the face by the financial whore that has become Carrol Shelby.. lol. Although, who am I to talk? If I had the same chance he did I'd probably take it too....

I've just started backing off of the idea mainly because now by doing something that I thought would be original.. it's apparently going to turn me into an assembly line car. That sucks... why would I want to buy a car to build it into what's now considered "stock" by Carrol Shelby himself? Boo... I wanted a resto-MOD.... not a "2004 GT500 Concourse Restoration" car..

Oh well, I'm still undecided... interior's almost done, then on to motor, suspension, etc... THEN the exterior will be decided on... a LONG time from now.
