are the 67 coupe and fastback fuel tanks the same? I got a hold of a new fastback tank

Also I did not find a drain plug on my tank so i was thinking to drill a hole at the bottom...then i was thinking how this could cost me my life with having the drill present...

could i just punch a hole through with a screw driver and drain it like that..?

Just turn it upside down to drain it; don't introduce metal shavings into the tank. If it's new, you shouldn't need to drain it anyway. All 65-68 tanks were the same and originally had a drain plug, so you have a repo w/o drain (they are offered both ways).

hmm

well i am replacing my leaky tank with a new tank...so you recommend me to remove the old tank and flip it over and drain it that way??

or since a new tank is going in could i just ruin the old tank and punch a hole it?
