I’m in the process of rebuilding my manual drum brake master cylinder. I purchased the rebuild kit from NPD but the brass fittings where the brake lines bolt up are different. I called them to verify that I had ordered the correct kit and its what is listed for my car. They said that they have run into this problem before but couldn’t offer a solution.

I know the MC is original to my car too. I also called to the major Mustang parts stores and they either don’t have any kind of rebuild kit or want to sell me a new one

Does anyone know where to get the correct brass pieces from?

My 67 has power disc brakes and when I replaced my MC and engine bay brake lines I had to go to an all Ford junk yard to get one brass connector. There were so many different size connectors on the MC and distribution block.

You know they could have made them all one size because the hard brake lines are all the same size tubing. Someone had their head....................

Good luck.

you could try buying a brass adapter at your local hardware store. should be a barrel fitting if I recall correctly.

Not sure if this will help but this is the part that I am talking about.

Hummm, I might just have to get a set of those barrel fittings...
