Well just like the title says, anyone here know if 68 door handles will work on a 67

I am currently looking at purchasing a 67 coupe. I already own a 68 and i like the door handles on the interior much better, if someone has done this or knows if it can be done feel free to chime in.

Thanx:SNSign:

They should work.

My 67 has a 68 drivers door, and I replaced the 68 windowcrank with a 67 so that they would all match, so you should be able to switch the other way around as well.

I have found most 67/68 parts to be relatively interchangable.

That is what i was thinking aswell, 67 and 8 are simlar all around I just don't have the 67 here to directly compare.

Maybe we will know by the end of the weekend when i go pick it up!

They should be fine, although may require you to use the 68 arm rest/door pull as well. I agree, the 68 handles are nicer.

The arm rest is what i was worried about, doesn't really matter either way i guess because i am making my own door panel inserts from stainless so 68 arm rests shouldn't be a problem.

Thanx

The 67 has slightly shorter arm rests than the 68. If you use 68 arm rests you will have to move the front attachment clip to the forward position. You will see what I mean when the door panel comes off. You could use 67 arm rests but the 68 door handles have a screw hole in the middle you would be able to see.
