i think i already know the answer, but will a "california Special" grille mount in place of a stock replacement on a 68 coupe - the reason is that i want to get a replacement grille (mine had seen decades of abuse). i was searching my "parts" catalogues and a stock replacement grille is running about $120 - while a "california special" grille is running around $80. i don't care about replacing the "horse and corral" i want it all blacked out anyway.....any thoughts?

CS grille is the GT grille. Bolt it in!

But, you will need to add the wiring for the lights.
