68 mustang sidemarker bulb.

I've been looking for the sidemarker bulb (1178a) , but can't find it at any auto parts store. Can i use another bulb?

Are you sure that is the correct part number. Here is a site with visual id for bulbs

Just a word of advice, I think some people were having problems with the LED bulbs. I personally stay with the original style.

Glazier/Nolan stocks them. Your local store probably doesn't bother, because, as far as I know, the 1178A was only used in the 68 Mustang marker light. Not exactly a swift-moving shelf item.

LED's are also available.

If you look closely at those NOS bulbs, you'll see the all-too-common paint flaking off.
