im trying to put all new brake shoes on my mustang. ive previoulsy taken the front hubs off with no problem, but have never attempted the rear. how do u take them off? is it different then the front? i know for the front you have to remove the grease cap and then all the following parts, but there seems to be no grease cap on the rear. thanks for all your help....

the rear brake drums are even easier than the fronts.. you just unbolt the wheel, make sure the car isnt going to roll away, release the E-brake, and pull the drum off. Sometimes you'll have to use a small screwdriver to loosen the self adjusters. in my experiance though, they usually will pull right off.

The rear brake DRUMS are removed by removing the wheel then pull the drum off the lugs by pulling straight out. It the brakes are badly worn, you may have to back of the adjusters to get the drum off.

ok, this thinig just wont come off, im pulling away at it and it wont budge. Im almost pulling it off the jack. The car does not have a working e-brake so that is not on. any ideas?

GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never never never work on the car while it is on the jack, buy a set of stands. Even the cheapest set of stands you can find are safer than a the best jack. People DIE every year working on cars folks, don't become part of the Darwin awards, please.
