I've got a 68 Coupe with a 289. At some point, someone removed the Thermactor Air Pump. I've looked through numerous parts catalogs and can't find a replacement or for that matter even a reference that one ever existed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Early smog equipment are some of the hardest parts to find, and when you do expect to pay big $$$$$$$. I don't even know where to send you as I live in Texas where these parts are not required.....THANK GOD.

why would you want to put it back on, unless it's required or you're going for show stock? I think NPD has them, but you'll have to pay more because you don't have a core to give them.

my car has full Cali smog equipment, but I'm going to leave it all in place until I pull the motor for a complete rebuild/buildup.

Thanks

Thanks for the help. Its not that I WANT to replace it. I just wondered why this particular item was so hard to find, yet is documented so heavily in the original shop manual I have. Also, the Alternator bracket looks stupid with the empty upper bolt sitting there.
