68' X code engine

Hi, i recently aqquired a 1968 mustang coupe with an X code engine which is a 2v 390.
i heard it was rare...could anyone help with some info?

Yes, it is a rare option, but that does not equate to big dollars. Most people prefer the S-code.

thanks for the info, this is my first mustang and it was given to me so i am a bit green. Is there a good online place to order parts? Also i want to put in a new distributor and coil so any sugestions anyone has would be very helpful

It is very uncommon indeed.

But, the motor is the station wagon engine, and 1968 was the only year offered.
