I'm replacing my old '69 deluxe door panels with repops. I've transfered all the trim over to the new panels except the stainless trim under the window felts. Does this stainless trim need to be reused or does it come with the window felt kit?

Any been there, done that advice for attaching the window felts to the door panels? Or suggestions on who supplies the best window felt kit?

Thanks

I'm actually in the process of re-doing my 70 right now and didn't even think about that piece. I would try NPD. That's where I got my medium blue door panels from. They were over $100 more than the standard black ones, but it cost $ to look good!

Good luck and let me know if you find them.

Stainless strip comes attached to the beltline w/s. Just remove the old w/s and stainless (should be one piece) and use the new staples to attach the new w/s. You may want to paint the new staples black once the new w/s is attached, so those bright steel staples won't show.

Paul, I don't know if you've fixed this problem yet, but this does suck. I received the Repops, but they didn't come with any hardware. I took the olds ones off to reuse them, but am trying to figure out the best way to remount them onto the new door panels. Any suggestions. I don't have a huge staple gun like they used in the old days.

Where did you buy them? They should have come with staples and a drill bit. I'd call NPD or wherever you got them and tell them you didn't get any hardware with them.

Good point man. I'm going to have to do that. I'm pretty sure I got them from NPD.
