69 Grenada disc help

I have the grenada swap that I purchased from California Mustangs about 10 years ago. I'm in work of installing new calipers rotors pads and brake hoses.

I ordered 75 Grenada 5.0 V8 hoses and they are 1.5 inches shorter than my original hoses which were just BARELY long enough.

My original hoses are 16 3/4 inches from tip to tip.
The 75 Grenada hoses are 15.5 inches from tip to tip, and these are not long enough.

California mustang does not offer the grenada setup anymore. They told me to go to autozone.


Anyone know of a replacement hose that is ATLEAST 16 3/4 inches long with the correct 7/16x24thread fittings?

I will be happy to buy steel braided ones as well.

My suggestion (I'm not sure if it will work but would be worth a try) would be to go to your local parts store (Autozones are usually good with stuff like this) with your existing brake hose, and ask them to pull out a brake hose for a 69 Mustang with discs and compare the lengths and fitting diameters. It won't cost you anything, and I have the feeling that you might find the right hoses.

Ditto, the Granada hoses are nothing close to fitting a 69 Mustang. Use 69 Stang hoses and ifm the ends are different, there are adapter fittings to fix this.

Same here. I did that swap 15 years ago, and brake hoses were an issue.

ALSO - you are aware that your 69 wheels will not fir the Granada rotors, yes? Larger hub diameter, you will need to use Magnums or aftermatked wheels.

I have 15 inch cragers, dont have a problem with fitment.

The hoses that originally came in the kit mounted to the factory hardlines that meet the hose and the clip on the frame rail.

The grenada lines fit as well, they are just too short.

The local autoparts can only get me off the shelf stuff which is too short.. If its long enough it has the wrong thread.

So I decided to buy the fittings to adapt the caliper and original hard line to a -3AN and ordered some Russel's DOT stainless braided 18" hoses to make my own. This way I dont have to jerry-rig unions and extend the hard lines with unnecessary adapters. Plus with the stainless lines, I hope that Ill never have to change them again..and if I do, it easy enough to buy or make a -3 hose myself.

being a aircraft mechanic, I really hate automotive brake fittings. I wake up wishing that everything was done to AN specs.

I saw those but all my options lead me to either build some hard lines or order something. I been wanting steel braided ones anyways so just decided to get some adapters and make some.

Call Welcome to CSRP They also have some instruction for Granada that outlines brake line issues. I ended having to reroute my hard line to go in front of caliper as opposed to OEM of going behind. Was able to use existing hard line just had to bend to where I wanted it. Not a big deal.
