I am hoping to buy a 69 convertable that I discovered recently, and am not sure what is a fair price to offer for it. The body is straight with very little rust except for the rear floors. It originally was a 302 with a C4.
It has been sitting in the owner's garage for the last couple of years. He has owned it for over 30 years. He is getting on in years, and has decided his health won't allow him to complete the car.
What it has now:
A new (never run) 40 over 429 with mild cam and a beefed up C6 and a 9 inch 3.55 posi rear. New disc brakes on all 4 wheels. New Crager wheels and new tires. New exhaust with flowmasters. New Griffin aluminum radiator (needs installed)What it basically needs to be finished is:
Rust repaired
Repair some dents in hood
New top
New paint
New interior
Engine bay wire harness purchased and installed.
All front accessories installed on engine
Fuel delivery system purchased and installed including new fuel tank
Master cylinder installed
New brake lines installed
That's about it.
I havn't got a clue what this car is worth.
Any and all opinions are welcome.
