so i was looking on the internet at shaker scoops and i ran across a few things and cant find any more info out about them... one site is advertising that with an adapter plate the 03-04 mach shaker scoop will fit the factory 69-70 air cleaner base made by kar kraft....

is this true???

and.... i also found a repop scott drake kit with a fiberglass shaker scoop but i cant find one for sale by anyone... anyone know where or how much and quality?? it look pretty good....

KarKraft sells the 03/04 mach 1 shaker and the midplate adapter. I am not sure how it will mate up but I was told by them that the adapter should do exactly that. The shaker is a tad different with a crinkle finish and a the edges are flat and don't come to the point that the originals do but the dimensions are the same. I figure I will end up having to fab up my own midbase and shaker base to give enough room for my Performer RPM but it is suppose to be pretty close to the original... and made of metal.

I havn't really thought of how I am going to do it yet either... My shaker is still in the box. I am not sure if the midplate adapter will be needed if I just fab up my own midplate but I bought it just in case when I do decide to sit down and do it if its available. I really like brushed aluminium so I got as far as what material I will be using hehe.

just bought the 03/04 shaker.............. cant wait til it gets shipped.... i called ford..275 for the scoop (well the entire upper half... you cant get just the scoop) so i think i made out like a bandit for $90........

also..... i bought a full 1/4 panel repop for the passenger side and.... 08 mustang gt brake swap kit...... so i will have all of these parts coming at one time.....hoooray me..

i think im going to cannibalize my factory (rusted P.O.S) air cleaner and adapt it to that myself to maybe mach it up if it looks good ill go with that... if not ill make another one..... then again im still not too sure as to what exactly i need.. ill see when i get the scoop...........

Let us know how it goes... It looks like you will be playing with it a lot sooner than I will.
