I need an ignition switch for a 70 mustang. Well, I think that's it, it's the part attached to the column that the lock cylinder activates. If that's not the ignition switch I don't know what is.

Also, update for any that have been paying attention to the progress on the 70 mustang from this thread:

http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=508335

They DID have the msd and the fan wired together at the main switch they had made under the dash. We rewired the msd to work off of the factory coil feed and all is well. In the process we've determined the ignition switch is bad.

Still looking through the wiring diagram I've been provided with and can't seem to decide where to tie into the harness for the fan switched ignition source. Anyone got a good idea?? maybe right on the column at the ignition switch??

P.S. thanks to WORTH and gp001 for the diagrams, they helped take a lot of time out of this rather simple problem.

For your switch, go here:

http://www.parts123.com/PartFrame.asp?ZTM=cadeieba&GHOME=www.karmustang.com&Title=KAR_Auto_Group

Type "ignition switch" into the search field.

thats a good link I'll I do that method if I have to but I was hoping for something local....the guy is wanting his car back after all

something like autozone, advance, parks, napa, bumper/bumper, ford dealer, etc...

Just curious if someone knew a place off hand so I didn't have to run all over hell and creation for one is all.
