Ive been thinging about getting a hood for my 73 coupe becuse the one i have is all warped from idiots jumping and sliding accrost it like the dukes fo hazard (these people have been grabed by the neck and threated to lose some parts if done agin), anyway i like the mach 1 style hoods, question i have is will a mach 1 hood bolt right up to a coupe, or are the grills, ext. diff? what all would have to be done?

If you are referring to the ram air style hhod thatis found on many 71-73 sportsroof mustangs then yes it is a straight bolt on. I am assuming the coupe in your avatar is a picture of your car. I have a 72 grande(coupe) that came with the ram air hood. These are available from cj pony parts (www.cjponyparst.com) for about $300 new, and sometimes you can find them on ebay. I plan on replacing mine, when I start the body work, it is rusting on the inside, and one of the po's installed crappy after market hood pins improperly.

i got my ram air style from cjpony ( they had a free shipping deal around christmas a year ago):D

fit as good or better than the original............:nice:

speaking of which, i will GIVE away my original hood to ANYBODY that can come and pick it up, i need it out of the garage, it is straight and has no dents

awsome now the question is, pins or origonal latch?
If you have the money ($200+)(hood pins and misc. required mtg. brackets), I'd suggest going for the original style twist-on hood pins. The original latch is still used in conjunction with the hood pins.
