I was wondering whether anyone knows what the speaker size is of the speaker that goes inside the dash panel of a 71-73 mustang. Any info would be appreciated.
Seems like it is 5x7. I replaced the one in my dash with a pair of 3 inch speakers which I attached to the original speaker grill. It sounds much better with the two seporate speakers.
I fabricated my own mounting bracket for a 5x7 because it was an extra good speaker that I had. I did have one of the custom audiosound dual speaker pod, but it blew out within 2 weeks and they wouldn't exchange or take it back POS.
