Hey Guys,

Has anyone upgraded their stock 60mm calipers for 76mm? If so is the SVO the only stang that I can use the calipers from or is there another year mustang that I can use? If I decide to upgrade is there anything I would also have to upgrade? Any suggetions will help.

Thanks

I used 73 mm calipers from a 91 lincoln LSC, bolt up, bleed and go. They work great and weren't expensive. See http://www.svo73mm.cjb.net/ for brake help

Thanks Jrichker,

Are you currently using the 73mm?

I'm using the LSC calipers on mine with SVO rotors for my 5 lug..work great for now..I'm eventually converting to sn95 brakes..if you are going to do a 5 lug conversion..be patient and do the sn95 or better..see the link that jrichker points to...Matt's got great info!!

I was waiting for this, I just picked up a set of 91 Lincoln LSC calipers, and they did not work. why? because the threaded part of the caliper where the banjo bolt goes is to far down for my brake hoses to connect to. I'm going to try another set of calipers and see if they are different because maybe somethingwas mixed up with the parts that I bought. They bolted into the caliper mounts fine though, but the pads took some modifications with a hammer to get them in. I think most likely i got the wrongparts now with as many people who have used this conversion.

HemiChallenger,

Are you going to use the first pair of calipers that did not work for you?
