I just installed the AccuFab 75mm TB with the C&L plenum and mass air kit and trueflow pipe. Now, when I step on the gas (for normal driving or WOT) there is this really annoying very high pitched noise that drives me crazy. It seems to be mostly when accelerating. While cruising, I do not hear the noise.

I have heard that the TB can "whistle", but this sounds more like a screech ... almost like chalk on a blackboard.

Is this the TB "whistle" or is it something else? If it's the whistle, I'm taking the TB off because I hate it.

I have pretty much the exact same set-up minus the plenum. My TB has a tendancy to whistle (slightly) but it does not screech. If yours is that loud and annoying, you may have a vac. leak somewhere. I'd start with checking all your connections and hoses.

Good Luck.

I have the same modifications, but mine is not that loud. I have to turn the radio down very low to hear it. Prior to the new C&L + Accufab parts I had a BBK TB and a UPR cai and the whistle sound was very noticeable. I could even hear it with the radio on. But since replacing the old stuff with the new parts it's not that loud. I can barely hear it now

Mine does the same thing. I've got the Dragon intake with Accufab 75 throttle body. I don't mid it, but it annoys my wife, then I have to hear her mouth!

mine too... its common.. although about 1 month ago I got a delivery from Dragon saying they sent me the wrong gasket for mine.. I never changed it but maybe by putting the wrong gasket on it causes this whistle..

on a side not thats good customer service, I didn't request a new one, they just sent me one because it seems like they accidently sent a few out with the wrong gaskets..

Update: there was a vacuum leak in the tube that connects to the back of the plenum. The problem was that the connector on the new plenum is too big for the hose that goes there, so I had made a makeshift adapter. The adapter was too loose and there was a leak there. Today I re-did the adapter much better and now the screech is gone! No more worries. Thanks everyone for your help.
