i have a former 89lx 4cyl that now has a carbed 302 and 5spd. i have an 8.8 out of a mustang to swap in the place of the 7.5 thats in the car now. i noticed that the car doesnt have the small lil shocks(dont know what their called) in the rear wheelwells on the 7.5. is this going to be a problem? is there a way to mount them when the 8.8 is in. this is my first stang so sorry if this question sounds retarded. i just can remember how they bolt on from the 8.8 to the car.

also when i do this swap is there anything i might run into that will give me problems?

thanks

All you should need is the quad shock brackets that bolt onto the frame and the bolts; and the shocks themselves of course. And yes they are very easy to install with the rear already in.

What he said.

Very easy to add on. All you need are the brackets on the frame rail and the actual shocks

If you don't use the quads you'll end up with nasty wheel hop.
You could go with aftermarket urethane upper and lower trailing arms and skip the quads altogether.

That's still no garantee the wheel hops will not be present.

He should still run quads. They work and are not a band-aid like many people beleive.
