Was just curious how often the clutch packs go out in the rear end of these cars. Every mustang i have had the rear ends worked well in. The car i have now its just a one wheel wonder for some reason. I haven't tested it a bunch of times or anything to make sure but last night i did a burn out and noticed im only leaving one mark.

Side note i have had the rear end apart it is a Trak Lok im pretty sure. it has the clutch pack in the middle.

They do wear out my buddies 65 stang with 8 inch posi only does the one wheelpeel now. It lasted 350+ 1/4 mile passes and 8 yrs of weekend car street use.
Hes ordered a rebuild kit.

ill try the friction modifier. a guy here in town said the same thing. the gear lube i used said it had it in it but maybe it wasn't enough....

he also said if it needs rebuilt there is a certain brand they put in the performance cars from ford i cant remember what frictions he said tho.
