Would a 8.8 from a 98 cobra be a direct swap into a 03gt? I thought the 98 body style hand shorter axles or something.

Would a 8.8 from a 98 cobra be a direct swap into a 03gt? I thought the 98 body style hand shorter axles or something.

Although the mounting points are the same and the axle will bolt in place, the axle housing in pre-99 cars is 1.5" narrower than the 99-04s.
