My dad picked up a clean, straight 83 mustang with an auto 6cyl for cheap. The question is, will an lx or gt spolier from an 87-93 fit it? It just doesn't look like right without a spoiler.

They will fit. They didn't really change the outside curves of the hatch. You might have to drill the access hole to bolt it up and find the proper plugs.

It fits fine. On my brothers there is no cover on the inside of the hatchback though so you will see the bolts coming through. GL with your new car.

Get an 87-93 spoiler. It is held on by 6 bolts. The LX spoiler is held on by more bolts and you would have to drill more holes. Plus, the GT spoiler looks sweet on LX's.

+1 I never was much on LX spoilers, esp. one with a stupid ass wing sticking out of it.

I even really like the 93 Cobra spoiler. The older those cars get the more I like them.
