I beleive vapor lock is caused by gas boiling inside the fuel lines, usually from being ran too close to the exhaust. Maybe move the lines away from the exhaust, or shield them somehow?
Are you sure that's your problem? What's the symptoms?

The guy selling the car says it runs and drives fine. But when you shut the car off it will not start back up for 15-20 minutes sometimes.. he says it needs new seals under the carb..
Sometimes engine heat will cause the carb will boil the fuel out of the float bowl and into the intake. That makes a car hard to start and puffs of black smoke when you do get it to start. Sometimes a new float valve and seat along with a float level adjustment will fix this problem.
