Hey guys, been doing some reasearch on my 86 motor and have found some limitaions for upgrades. I've discovered it has horrible heads and flat top piston design. I was looking to do the standard cam, intake, head upgrade thing(after mass air conversion) but have been told there would be a piston to valve clearance issue. I'm trying to keep from pulling the engine apart. Does anyone know of a combination that would work in my case?

Thanks in advance for any help!

TrickFlow Twisted Wedge heads have different valve angles/positions than stock heads (and other aftermarket heads), and will supposedly fit on an '86 shortblock, even with a mild cam. This is probably the direction I'll be taking this winter with my car.
