My '86 GT is finishing up in the paint shop, fresh new silver paint. My stock Canyon Red interior is a bit of a problem. Right now I'm looking for front seatbelts that match the old, worn belts. I was elated to find NPD carried "Canyon" seatbelts and ordered a set, but they don't match at all. Has anyone else had any success matching new seatbelts to the Canyon Red interior?

Nope. Nobody makes Canyon Red anymore. A few folks have swapped everything out for the new [not] Canyon Red.
Thanks, @Noobz347. I found several people selling “classic” seatbelts, but since NPD had “Canyon”, I went with them. But those belts will go back. Gosh, it looks like someone would have something close…I also have a new set of TMI Canyon Red sport upholstery I won’t be using for the same reason.

I don't really understand the issue but they just can't get the tone right. Canyon red has 'wine' color to it that the new stuff lacks.

I went over to the St Pete area to look at a custom frame for " my other project" last week.. Looking at a brand of aftermarket frame this gentleman had bought and he was kind enough to let me into his workshop to look at it.... They are built in Texas
I am NOT a fan of RED interiors but the 62 white corvette he was resto modding had a brand new red leather interior going in that was stunning... Of course I was so excited I forgot to take any pics...... MAYBE, in certain circumstances, this changed my mind about red interiors.....

Generally, you either like them or not. I love the Canyon Red interior in my '86 Mustang, and the red leather in many 60s cars were stunning. A mid-60s Lincoln Continental convertible with red leather is wonderful! But for the most part, red is out as an interior color anymore.
