86 Gt Clutch Quadrant Swap

I"m having trouble removing the small piece of plastic on the top of the clutch pedal, I got the factory quadrant off but there's a small white plastic piece that won't slide off pin because there's a steel brace next to it no matter what I do I can't get it into a position to remove this part, so I can get the new quadrant on. Any ideas my 89 gt did not have This problem... Thanks

Thanks mikestang i watched that and thats how it went on my 89 but for some reason the 86 gt has a bracket in the way no matter what position the clutch pedal is in the plastic piece wont slide off. Hoping to find someone who has come across this... Thanks again

Thanks jrichker I did drill the holes and busted off the part. Had to grind down the end of the new quadrant to slide it on not much room there but it worked thanks again
