hey guys got 1 for you what would cause a speed density car to cut off when the map vacume line is plug in but if it is unplug it will run but rough? check the salt and pepper plug there good, also the firing order is set for non ho motor when change to ho setting it ran even worse .i think it may have a non ho cam.just bought the car! car runs rich and when i drive it it would stutter at half throttle you have to lightly give it gas to get it going. air filter is good.

thanks for time:SNSign:

If map sensor is unplugged the car will run but it will run rough. Computer goes into limp mode. You will run very rich because the map sensor reads vacuum to determine how much fuel the car needs. An 86 mustang is a H.O. car.

thanks for the replys we messed with it more today the crazy thing we think it a regular 302 with the5.0 ho top half and the cam must be a flat tappet cam because of the non ho firing order

we will pull the intake tommorow so we can see what the heck it is

keep yall posted
:SNSign:
ps we did scan but i would have to pull most the sensors from act, map, evp,

we think its a non ho with ho intake and computer thats why it not running right
