86 Mustang Wiring Question

Need some help, I am putting an 86 2.3l out of a mustang into a 27 model t. I have the motor and trans installed and have a question on my wiring. What year mustangs can i pull the ecu wiring harness out of? I have an 88 but it is fuel injected, therefore i cant use it right? any help would be awesome.

Are you using fuel injection or going carbureted? If you are going carbureted, you can use a Weber setup and a vacuum advance type distributor along with a Duraspark ignition module and coil setup. No computers required. Look to late seventies, early eighties Mustang and Fairmont.

Yes, I am going carburated. So if I go that route I don't need a computer at all? Seems like the best option for me. I want as simple as possible. Not familiar with a "weber setup". Can you explain that a little?

Webber makes aftermarket carbs that fit small, non v8 engines. Most common on Jeep 4.2 engines to replace the electronic bbd. Also good for 2.3 Fords.
