I am putting an ’87 5.0 in my 24 Hours of Lemons race car and want to reuse the stock Mustang instrument cluster. Basically the only functions I want to keep are the gauges, and possibly the battery/alt light. I don’t have the rest of the body harness, but looking at the diagrams (here and here, but doesn’t match my wiring, I’m guessing it is for the 90-93) this is what I come up with for connections. First is the pin number, then description and finally in bold, my connection. Can someone please check my work and help me fill in the blanks?
A1 – Left Turn Signal Indicator – No Connection
A2 – Ground – Ground
A3 – Temp to Sender – Temp Sender Lead
A4 – Warning Lamp Feeds – 12V when Running
A5 – Ingition Switch to Coil-Batt To positive side of battery?
A6 – Ignition Switch to Alt Green wire from Alt
A7 – Brake Warning Signal Light No Connection, don’t need
A8 – Warning Lamp Prove Out No Connection, don’t need to test the bulbs
A9 – Not Used
A10 – Low Oil Level to Signal No Connection, don’t have
A11 – Tachometer Feed Common green/yellow wire from coil and dist
A12 – Not Used
A13 – Right Turn Signal Indicator – No Connection, don’t need
A14 – High Beam Indicator – No Connection, don’t need
B1 – Low Oil Indicator - No Connection, don’t have
B2 – Switch to Warning Lamp 12 when Running?

B6 – Signal Unit Lamp to Fuel Signal Relay – No Connection, don’t need the low fuel warning
B7 – Washer Fluid Low Indicator – No Connection, don’t need
B8 – Signal Unit Lamp to Fuel Signal Relay – No Connection, don’t need the low fuel warning
B9 – Oil Pressure Signal – Oil Press Sender Lead
B10 – Fuel Gauge Feed/Low Fuel Indicator Relay Fuel Sending Unit
B11 – Warning Lamps Feed 12V when Running
B12 – Ground Ground
B13 – Coolant Temp Relay Feed – No Connection, don’t need the low coolant light
B14 – Instrument Panel Lamps Feed – No Connection, don’t need illumination
Also what should the resistance be for the fuel sender when empty and full?
Thanks in advance!
