I'm curently performing a t-5 swap in my '88 GT and i've run into a snag. Where do I route the clutch cable? I've searched and found some good info but I haven't yet found the answer I've been searching for. From what I can gather and understand the cable runs through the factory AOD speedo cable hole in the firewall. If so what do I do abount my speedo cable? Drill a hole and reroute it or is there some sort of plate that I can't find for my clutch cable to mount?

Find the hole that lines up right in front of the clutch quadrant. Then out into the engine bay, the bracket attaches to the fire wall and then it wraps around and through the motor mount. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure thats where it goes.

it does not replace the speedo cable. the clutch cable goes through a hole that is about 1 1/4", underneath the pinch weld, to the right of the brake booster (more towards the center of the firewall) a few inches.

like MAC said, just look for the hole that lines up with the clutch quadrant.

There is a plate that spot welds to the firewall that the steering shaft runs though and the booster bolts to. Auto cars have a rubber plug that you need to remove.

Yup, I just finished doing this. Find where the speedo cable comes out of the firewall, then look to the left of it and you will see a rubber plug. Undo that and it is a hole to inside the car, you run the speedo cable through this new plug. Then you put the clutch cable through the hole the speedo cable used to be in and there you go.
