88 Heads On A 95

Is there any reason why my old stock heads will not work on a 95 gt. I know they will bolt up, is there any fitment issues with egr or smog? I know the heads suck, my buddy just needs a set of heads that work.. They are complete and I know they were fine when I took them off my 88 lx.
