does anyone know how much horsepower i might be pushing? i have an 88 gt with a full exhaust, headers back, with no cats... i know they have 300 ftlbs of torque stock and 225 hp, anyone ever do a dyno check with exhaust only? lmk... just tyin to see about what my car has before i do the gt40 upgrade

Like 10 more HP...if that.

If they were long tube headers, you might see more torque increase, but you are gonna need more than just yanking the cats...and to be honest, that prob didn't do much.

they are long tubes, not sure of brand, i am just curious too see the hp now and then what i gain from the gt40 setup. so its probably like 235 hp? what about torque? and what else can i do to the exhaust to get more out of my stang??

Way too many variables considering the age of the motor and such. I would say that a full exhaust if shorties would be worth 0.5-1% hp increase over what you had previously.

Just a tad more than stock, which is usually 185-195 to the rear wheels on a healthy, manual transmission 5.0 Fox.
