Just bought a 89 5.0 and was wondering what the average temp it ran in the cold. I just drove it home and it really did not go up that far, maybe it has a colder t-stat? It's pretty cold here so I was not too sure why it did not warmed up too much.

Well I havent drove it but 10miles and was wondering how it should be running for a stock car. I hit it at about 15mph and it just broke them loose? same when I went into 2nd, is this normal for the stock tires?

What is a good start on tune up parts to make this motor run even better? It's stock.

Is it common for these to have blown shocks in the rear 74K miels?

The temperature gauge on my 91 GT hovers in the low part of the N-O-R-M-A-L range. I bought that car almost 6 years ago and my dad has had the car for about 3 years. So it's not uncommon. I would be more concerned if it was running on the high end.

A good start would be to get a new cap, rotor, spark plugs, and wires if they are original. You can tell if the wires are original because the originals have the model year of the car on them. I would suggest the Ford Racing wires.

I should not have said stock but the only thing it has done to the motor is pretty much what you listed. I don't know if they are that old but should I just get new ones anyway? Change the oil?
I think it might have a bad rear strut on the pass. side, what are the sysmtoms of a bad strut, bumpy ride with some nose comming from it?
