Hey guys am curios as to whether or not its possible to swap a 90 steering wheel to an 89 even if the airbag isn't functional purely for looks I always wanted a 90 but got a great deal on the one I have now so that last detail would tie it all together for me.

You'd have to swap the column in as well, and the clockspring if you intend on keeping the horn functional.

Column trim is different and may not join up cleanly with the 87/89 cluster pod

It is.
But you can get a momo monte carlo wheel, adapter and find a real ford horn button on ebay (probably) and it will make you realize how much you didn't want that air bag wheel.
