So I'm having trouble get my car to start. The car has power but it wont crank. I get sparks from the starter solenoid when I turn the key. I checked the connections on the solenoid and they were alittle loose. The solenoid wasreplaced last winter. I tried starting the car again, and it started. But I'm not sure I've solved the problem.

There is a good chance that it was your problem. A loose connection increases resistance, and sparking tends to allow oxidation, furthering breaking down the connection. Now that everything is tight, you have restored connectivity.
