Someone told me its almost impossible to replace the window moldings withouth breaking the windows because the moldings are glued in. Is that true? Mine are showing age and was wondering about replacing them.

The rubber is part of the glass. YOu can get repo ones now but they dont have the mustang on the glass. YOu can fix the ones you have if they are not too bad. You use plastic epoxy filler by 3M and coats of flexible black paint.

an easier way is just to spray thick coats of a high build primer. spray, sand, spray, sand, etc until they're smooth, then lay on some black trim paint. i did mine this way.

ignore all the white dirtyness, it's body filler dust...

I think the filler works better it comes out looking like factory without any gaps.

Go to late model restoration, they sell a molding trim that goes right over the original molding and just great. Check them out online.

I tried those overlays. They, in my book suck. You have to use duct tape(per the instructions that came with them), to hold them on the original mouldings while the cheap ass sealant dries. I would rather not use duct tape on my cars paint, just me. The high build primer method is a totally better idea!!
