I just got this convertible. When I went to put the (driver side) quarter window down it didn't go and there was a "clicking" noise. I could move the window up and down by hand. I figured the gear was bad in the motor. I removed the motor and the gear looked OK but I messed it up trying to put (the motor) back together again.
I ordered a new motor and put it in but it's the same. Motor runs but doesn't seem like the gear goes in far enough to engage the regulator gear. Same symptom as when I took it apart!
I'm frustrated and lost at this point!
