hey guys im new to this forums and just looking for some advice. ive tried searching around and found some useful advice but nothing thats been to recent. a lot of older post and wanted to make sure not much has changed. i currently have a 1990 gt with over 130k miles on it. pretty much everything needs to be changed on it. the owner before me had put 2'' lowering springs on it. since ive had it i already put weld in SFC. im just lost from this step now. my goal is eventually restore the whole car and drop a bigger motor but thats later down the road. ive noticed MM is pretty much the way everyone is saying to go. what do you guys think i should go with, its mainly going to be a street car, i prefer to get rid of the lowering springs and get it back up to stock height. currently has stock size tires which i plan on putting the biggest i can fit without rolling the fenders. Thanks for the help - Mark

What kind of ride do you want? If a nice daily cruiser with a soft ride, put the stock springs in with some Gabriel replacement struts . IF yiou want a better handling ride with a 1" lower ride and a little stiffer, get a set of Steeda or H&R sports springs and a set of bilstein or Tockio struts and shocks. If youwant to be able to adjust the ride heightt and want the best suspension, get a set of coil overs- bilstein.

MM makes IMO some of the best suspension parts and their tech advice is second to none.

No matter which way you go I would recommend
New poly sway bar links
Check the front lower control arm bushings and ball joints
MM rear lower control arms.
New rear upper stock control arms and new rubber bushings if worn
Check the rack bushings and replace with new poly ones if worn.

Your tire size is going to depend upon the
rim size
backspacing
amount car lowered

Your 90 has larger wheel openings than earlier models. You can go with a 17 x 8 size wheel and 245/45/17 and 275/40/17 tires with no issues.

Also lower k member brace will stiffen cowl area and tie in your subs for better suspension performance.Remember Fox is unibody so don't neglect tying the frame together, A stiffer platform will yield better suspension results, regardless which way you go.
