I'm thinking about upgrading my OE MAF to a 90mm Lightning part because some logging in the fall showed that I'm close to saturating the factory MAF even at non-WOT conditions.

Thinking about this:

from American Muscle.

I'm curious to hear from those that installed this regarding what they had to do to fit it in. AM says "...will also fit the 1996-2004 GT, Cobra, and Mach 1 Mustangs...": Does it? Will it screw to the factory airbox? To the factory inlet tube?

While I wouldn't mind getting a "cold air" intake for it, I've found that the Kenne Bell blower moves the throttle body sufficiently far right enough to prevent even a K&N FIPK from fitting. Because of that, I'm on the stock inlet pipe and airbox (airbox carved open somewhat for more flow), including the factory MAF screen which I'd like to keep to maintain smooth airflow through the MAF.

If I can install this relatively painlessly, I'll be able to get the car properly dyno tuned (on the KB "chip-tune" now) and hopefully see slightly better output and better fuel economy too.
