Just finished the 5 lug swap. Was torn between 03's and Cobra R's. I like it, but it is rubbing really bad front and rear.

yeah looks nice, I put rims on my 90gt and I put 1/2 spacers on and it does not rub anymore when i turn fully both ways.

Okay, what tire size do you have? What brake conversion (spindles, axles) did you use?

My tire size is 245 front and 275 rear. When I bought the car it came with some ranger axles but I wasn't even close to being able to run the quad shocks with the the 275's back there. So I went to the salvage yard and bought a 96 rearend and used those axles/brackets/calipers for the rear. Now I have plenty of room for the quads but I'm rubbing badly on the outside fender. My springs are H&R Supersports from MM. Is my car sitting too low? (It's rubbing in the front too with SN-95 spindles). Please help, I'm afarid to even drive this thing because it's rubbing so bad.

With a 9" wide wheel, you have to run the stock track in the rear since there are no wheels made with a special offset. So Contact NorthRaceCars for the brackets you need and reinstall the ranger axles.

Again, stock track. Forget the quads, toss them.

What year spindles do you have? They are not all the same.

That's a problem. I forgot to ask the guy who I bought the car from whether they were the narrow 94-95 spindles or the wider 96-98 spindles. How can I tell the difference? Maybe I should just take a bat and roll my front fenders?

I just checked on those NorthRaceCars brackets, they are like $150. Will the anti-moan braces bolt up to those too or do you scrap them?

The anti-moan brackets will work with the ranger axles.

For the $$$ you are shilling out, that is your problem here. You spent your money before you did your research. Live and learn the expensive way.

I did a cobra brake conversion on my 90 with 95 spindles steeda x2 balljoints and ford springs and the tires rub in the front with 17x9 and 245's when I hit bumps but it is not tearing up the tires. The rears hit the fender lip with 275's but I am going to cut it a little this winter when I paint the car. With 245's on the rear there are no problems at all.
