my 93 2.3 has started stalling out and dieing. No big deal at first it would die then start back up and run fine. Then a couple of times it would die, it had to set for a couple of minutes then it would run fine. Now it dies has to stay off for 30 minutes then it will run a little while and die again.
I turned the key on and off while it would not start and noticed that I could not hear the fuel pump priming. So I pulled the fuel tank and the pump.
The pump will pump when it recieves 12V direct from the battery. I checked what fuel pump connector for power with the key on. It is only producing 6.8 volts. My question is this: Is the fuel pump or the connector bad? Should the fuel pump be running at all with 6.8V? Why is my connector only producing 6.8 V?
