I won a 93 cobra intake with throttle body on ebay.
What all extra do I need to install this? Should I use the cobra throttle body? I have a 94 gt. I think I need an elbow adapter. What is a good one?
I guess I need gaskets too, which ones and where should I get them?
Anything else I need?
Is there a good pictorial guide to show me how to install this? I never have done it before.

You payed for more then you bargained for. The cobra intakes come with the EGR built in them. So adding the 93 cobra intake plus the elbow adapter makes it difficult to install. It adds to the length of the throttle inlet making the throttle cable not reach, and the air intake needs to be modified to fit.

You could always do the Fox TB conversion, since you have two of the key components already.

use the cobra throttle body. i think you will need a few more things for the tb swap. do a search for fox tb swap. the elbow will not be a direct fit as mentioned above. i used felpro gaskets and you should get new intake bolts while your at it. also a good idea to pick up a haynes manual, it can answer most questions you will have.

No find a way to extend you throttle cable/linkages, move your egr valve tube out more or delete it, and rig your air intake tube to fit. That's pretty much all I can think of right now to make it work.

BBK, Edelbrock, and Trick Flow make good elbows. You have to modify the throttle cable bracket to make it reach. You will also need all gaskets. But in the long run I think its easier to use the elbow than to convert to a fox style TB.

is it just the cobra intake that you have to do this with, or do you have to do this with all aftermarket intakes for 94-95 stangs?

the 93 cobra intake is the only one that is not a direct fit. the explorer intake will work with the elbow along with all aftermarket intakes, or you could try to get a 94-95 cobra upper.

Nah, that should be a more or less direct fit.

The intake that provides the most need for doing a fox TB swap is the '93 cobra because the EGR plate was integrated into the upper. The other aftermarket intakes (Edelbrock, Holley, TrickFlow) should work with your existing equipment if you run the elbow adapter.

don't worry about peopel saying it won't work. I did it with no problems. yes, things are tight butit works. the only thing is pull out some slack in the t-cable, buy a 93 cobra egr, a cap for your exhaust header, and an elbow. just take your time and you will be ok, you might have to make your own CAI. I had a 94-95 C&L intake and I had to turn it funny to make it fit. If you need anymore help, send me a PM.
