after much thinking, i decided on buying a mustang. my friend owns a 92 mustang and he suggest i buy the 93 and below mustangs, the fox body ones. but i like the sn94 and sn95s newer looks. is there a significant difference between the 93s and below and the 94/95? all i know is the sn's are a bit heavier and doesnt have the wide variety of modding options than the fox bodies. im currently saving money and leaning towards a sn94 or 95

They basically have same variety of modding options, because after all, it is a 5.0. I kinda like sn95 stylings, but they are a bit heavier, but they have the 5 lug wheels, better interior, and probably not as many squeaks and rattles. Just what you prefer.

I agree, it just comes down to preference. The weight difference between a Fox GT and a 94/95 GT is actually not that far apart. IMHO the only real downside of a 94/95 is that you have to deal with the EEC if you want to do any serious mods.

All depends on what you're looking for in the car. Performance-wise, the fox will get you faster for less $ though there are just about as many mods for the 94-95. I bought mine due to the style (though id love a fox in my driveway too) and the interior since I drive it every semi-nice day. It's just alot more comfortable to me then the foxes i've driven and toss a few grand into it and it'll move with the best of'em. The Sn95's get my vote, but it really depends on what you're looking for out of it.

According to NADA (Jan. 1, 04-Mar. 31, 04) 95 Mustang weighs,

GTS (?) - 3246
GT - 3280
Cobra - 3354
GT Convertible - 3451
Cobra Convertible - 3524

As for the 94 Stangs,

Coupe - 3055
GT - 3258
Cobra - N/A
Convertible - 3193
GT Convertible - 3414
Cobra Convertible - N/A

I don't have any info for Pre94 Stangs.

I bought a '94 Cobra because it already has most of the bolt on's that people get. It also has the big brakes and 17" wheels, better transmission and in my opinion better looks than a GT (and the Foxes), but it does not cost much more than a GT. It is much less expensive than buying a GT and adding the brakes and engine parts.

My cobra probably costs less than doing a similar upgrade on a Fox. It does have the slight performance disadvantage, but I'm taking care of that.

And, after all is said and done, it's a Cobra and will hold it's value better than a GT and most Foxes.

I really like the 87-93 fox interior and dash. Besides I really didn't notice much difference in the comfort between my seats and the seats in my friends 2000, mine were just a little softer. I like the sn95 stle and 5 lug is nice but i'd pick up another fox in a second.

The sn95's ride quality is much better then a foxes, and it handles better.I have a 93 LX and IMO,with the exception of the cobras, its the best looking fox body.I think they also look better then the 94---2004 stangs.JMO

Willys you need to get those 4.10's in .

The sn95's are a little bit heavier than the foxes but they make up for it in the ways mentioned already. 5 lug from the factory, 17" wheels, etc. I love the fox personally, it's all a matter of what you like. It will be your car, not your friends.
