I searched but could not find the answer I'm looking for. Has anyone tried putting a 94-95 5.0 rad in a foxbody?

I have a CSR electric pump, MAC chrome rad hoses, custom rad bracket, 12" electric fan, CSR swivel water neck so there is some adjustability there. I know they are shorter so would I have to make some brackets to raise it?

The only reason I am looking at this is I'm not sure if my stock rad is gonna work (car not running yet) and I want to upgrade (the 95 is aluminum/plastic I believe) and I can get one for like 99bucks on Ebay versus te average 169 and up for a Griffin etc. I just had my third kid so I'm out of MONEY!

What da ya think?

The stock 94-95 radiator sucks (it's a little less than 1" thick and is a one row). And as I recall, the bungs are a different size (I could be wrong there). Many a 94-95 guy has upgraded theirs and with your sig, I wouldnt bother honestly.

Just my perspective (I have a fox and and a 94 GT).

DON"T DO IT- The 94-95 radiator sucks compared to the fox rad. I did this one time thinking the same thing you did-biggest mistake I ever made. Find another way-but don't use that rad.

well guys thanks for reply.
I didn't realize how bad they were. I thought it would be a good idea as they are aluminum.

I guess I will have to splurge and get a get a decent one. I was looking at a Griffin 30x19 and I searched it on here and a lot of guys give them rave reviews. One thing that was not clear though was if that size would fit ( the cap in particular) as the universal one doesn't have the angled side tank. Can anyone confirm that?

DOes anyone think I can use or has anyone used a stock radiator for their stroker?

I know I can put it all together and find out but I only want to do this once! Thanks!

i got the aluminum rad from summit...and that thing works really good

As an alternative, if you can find one, a 3 row HD Fox radiator is a nice way to go. It's a little thicker than the stocker.
Otherwise, you should have no issues fitting a 19" tall alum radiator.

Think of it this way, as to the 94-95 radiator sucking. Ford used the same one between the V6 and V8 cars. So far mine's done a decent job cooling with my mods, but I'd venture to guess it's only because I'm making more power with aluminum heads, versus iron. They're probably helping reject heat better than I would otherwise, but a new radiator is on the to-do list regardless.
