I have a '95 Cobra and am running a SystemMax intake for a fox body. We converted it back when the SystemMax was not availale for a 94-95.

I have just built a new 347 for it and am looking for options for a new superpcharger.

Currently I am running an over-driven Powerdyne for a 94-95 with a Fox style discharge tube. We had to cut a couple of inches off of the front of the tube as the supercharger on a '95-95 sits closer to the intake than the fox style. I also get a small amount of interference (touching) from the discharge tube to the shock tower. It hasn't caused a problem but definitely rubs under load.

I could only make 5psi with the Powerdyne (399 rwhp) with my set up and a 306 engine. (Canfield heads and Anderson Ford B3 cam). Now that I have a 347 I know the Powerdyne will be useless.

So, here's my question. Who is running a Supercharger on a 94-95 with a Fox style intake? What supercharger and how did you order the unit? Should I just order a blower for an SN95 with a '93 discharge tube? If I do I know I will have to cut the tube. I don't want to do that if it is going to interfere with the shock tower under load.

What are my options?

Thank you,

Brent Ford

Thanks for the help.

94 GT - Do you know where you can get that discharge tube? I'm thinking I would have to get one custom made. The discharge tube would acutally have to be a bit shorter on an SN95. We've done two other SN95 cars with Fox style System Max intakes and used Fox discharge tubes. On both of them we had to cut a couple of inches off of the Supercharger side of the tube. Even so the tube still slightly rubs on the shock tower slightly. I'm hoping there is a better option.

I know I have seen some others running this set up. Wondering if the discharge tube they're using is custom or if it is available.

Thank you,

I do NOT know, but call Vortech, and call AFM (Anderson Ford Motorsport). They will know where if they dont have them.

darrellk -

You can use standard headers with the Canfields. The ports on the Canfields are raised but are not raised as high as on Street Heat heads. Canfields and .4" and Street Heat high port heads are about 3/4" (if memory serves).

I used long tubes for standard port heigh.
