one of my buddies is rebuilding his 95 gt and i was wondering what would be the best bolt-ons or combos that would make it perform at it best without using a poweradder.

What are his goals for the car? Bolt-ons and combos cover a MASSIVE range of stuff. You can have pullies as a bolt-on, or you can have a 6k rpm revving h/c/i combo. We need some more info as to what he wants to do with it.

In honesty, the 94/95 computers are good computers, it's the stock tune that really sucks. When you're as heavily modded as he's gonna be, an older computer will do no good, as it's gonna have to be retuned anyway. Don't do the A9L swap (probably what he's referring to). Just get a good dyno tune, or a twEECer or PMS system is he wants to do it himself.

Since he wanted a streetable stang, he's not gonna wanna rev anymore than 6k or so. Otherwise he'll have a lack of low-end torque. I'd stick with a cam of a little more than .5" lift, like the stage 1 cam from TFS. It's a great OTS cam for N/A, I'm not sure about FI. A friend of mine made 440 to the wheels with Stage 1 cam, TW heads, TFS intake, and a Vortech. AFR 165's, Eddy Performer 5.0's, Trickflow Twisted Wedge, these are all good heads. GT-40's can be good when they're ported as well, but by the time you figure in the cost of the heads, and a port job and a valve job (where those heads really get some power), you're running close to the cost of a nice set of aluminum heads.
