I have a car that I am working on that does not have an air pump, but has all other accessories.

What is the best way for belt routing you have found. At this point it looks to me like some type of delete pulley set-up is needed. What are you using?

Anyone relocate the alt to the bottom where the air pump use to be?

Thanks! I am waiting for those drawings to arrive but I installed a few ATI's so I have everything else bolted on and ready to go.

Only question I still have is if you just bypass the smog pump how does the tensioner keep tension on the belt since you are barely touching it and not wrapping it.

Np. But as I mentioned, I haven't installed mine yet, so I can only guess there should be enough tension on the belt.

Thanks. I also may be losing my Power Steering pump and going to a Manual rack and not sure how my belt routing will be. I think my pump is bad and the rack is leaking, so that is my excuse to go manual!! Unless I have to run ANOTHER idler pulley inplace of the PS pump, I am not sure how I will route it. I dont see why (of course I am not an engineer) they didn't mount the pump on the passengers side, run the discharge of the pump into the intercooler (passenger side) and back out, again on the same side, and up to the intake.
